Our Director of Operations is an expert in the SORA Act and the Private Detective Act of 1939. He helped develop the mandated training program required for all New Jersey security officers. With over 10 years of experience conducting background investigations on prospective agency owners, he makes sure all licensing requirements are met under SORA, the Santiago Law, and the Private Detective Act. He also has a decade of hands-on experience navigating the state’s SORA database and application process, giving clients the guidance they need to manage a system that can be difficult to use.
Beyond inspections, his hands-on experience with security and PI agencies across the industry gives him the ability to spot what works, identify weaknesses, and share practical advice backed by real success stories. School Officers represent a firm commitment by the BOE to help ensure the safety and wellness of the entire education community. Officers are an integral part of the school's emergency preparedness plan and a positive reassuring presence to both students and staff.
School Security Officers provide a vital service to the communities they serve. As a direct link to the local police department, officers are the onsite reporting agent giving First Responders current and continually updated information regarding all requests for emergency assistance.
These calls for services may include first aid requests, reports of fire or other onsite emergencies such as gas leaks or structural damage, unauthorized persons on school property, bomb threats, threats of violence amongst students and reports made by students of criminal activity on or off campus.
Officers assist in planning and implementing fire drills, shelters in place, lockdowns, emergency evacuations and threat assessments. Officers are a key part of the schools Emergency Response Team
